    About the Program

Although the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is all the Federal Aviation Administration requires for the operation of any aircraft, a specialized degree in Aviation Science provides a broader and more thorough understanding of aeronautics than can be learned in flight school. As a result, graduates qualify for a range of rewarding and exciting positions in this dynamic industry.

Central Texas College is an FAA 141-approved flight school which features instrument approaches into Skylark Field Airport and local military approach control at Robert Gray Army Airfield.
