(Longview, Texas) – LeTourneau University announces a new partnership with Frisco Independent School District that will offer dual credit courses in aviation to high school juniors and seniors. LeTourneau University will send an aviation professor to Frisco’s Career and Technical Education Center where students from all over the district can be bused in for aviation classes. With this addition, Frisco ISD now offers courses in all 16 clusters of Career and Technical Education areas as outlined by the Texas Education Agency.
Fred Ritchey, dean of LeTourneau University’s College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science, says he is excited for the opportunities that these students will have pursuing careers in aviation. “Frisco ISD is a very strong district academically, and the administration of FISD shares with us a passion for helping students succeed,” Ritchey said. “We have another great partner in education, and ultimately, that is another great win for the students we serve.”
