Engineering and Manufacturing

Engineering and Manufacturing
The aviation industry uses engineering for a variety of purposes such as designing aircraft or aviation facilities to transport goods and people. Manufacturing in aviation encompasses all production, development and manufacturing methods needed to construct and deliver new and refurbished aircraft.

Engineering

Aerospace Engineer - Design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. They also test prototypes to make sure that they function according to design.

Civil Engineer - Design and direct large construction projects such as runways, taxiways, hangars, and terminal buildings.

Electrical Engineer - Work to design and develop electrical equipment, while electronics engineers design and develop electronic equipment.

Manufacturing

Engineering Technician - Operate and maintain equipment used in developing, testing, and producing new aircraft and spacecraft. Increasingly, they use computer-based modeling and simulation tools and processes in their work.
